International desk:The Afgan rebel group said in a letter to UN Secretary General that on August 15, Ashraf Ghani, a former Afghan president has fallen and the world does not recognize him as president.
The letter announced the removal of Golam Isaaczai, the Gani government's permanent representative to the United Nations. It has proposed rebel spokesman Mohammad Suhail Shahin as Afghanistan's permanent representative to the United Nations.
The letter also stated that Amir Khan Muttaki, the acting foreign minister of Afghanistan, would like to address the UN General Assembly.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's spokesman Farhan Haque told reporters in New York on Tuesday night (September 22nd) that the letter from the rebel group had been discussed at the UN Secretary-General's office.
He said the letter from the rebel group had been sent to the selection committee of the 7th session of the General Assembly.
