Sun News Desk: Sheikh Annie Rahman, Awami League member of parliament, passed away at a hospital in Bangkok of Thailand on Tuesday.

Anne, breathed her last around 1:45 am. She was 64 years old, according to family sources.

She was a Member of Parliament elected from reserved women seat-19 (Pirojpur-1) of the 11th National Parliament. She left her husband, one son, one daughter, and many other well-wishers.

Sheikh Annie Rahman is the wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's cousin Sheikh Hafizur Rahman and aunt of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He was born on 28 September 1960.

Maksudur Islam Liton, Former President of Pirojpur District Chhatra League, said that Sheikh Annie Rahman was undergoing treatment in the Bangkok for many days. She was on life support at Bamrungrad International Hospital.
