Staff Reporter: A fire broke out in a building next to DNCC Market at Gulshan-1 in the capital. Seven units of the fire service have been working to control the fire. After about 40 minutes of trying, the fire was completely extinguished, fire service officials said.
The fire broke out around 4 pm on Monday (November 29).
Dinu Moni Sharma, deputy director of the fire service, said, “Seven units of the fire service brought the fire under control after trying for about 40 minutes. However, the onset of the fire or the extent of the damage can be said to be subject to investigation.
Earlier, Lima Khanam, a duty officer at the fire service headquarters, told Risingbd that the fire broke out on the 10th floor of the 12-storey building. Residents of the building came out after the fire broke out.
However, no casualties have been reported so far.
