119 Lives have been Lost on the Roads of Dhaka in 11 Months

Staff Reporter: In the last 11 months, 114 road accidents have occurred in the capital Dhaka. 119 people lost their lives in these accidents. These accidents happened from January to November 25 this year.

A report by the Road Safety Foundation on Sunday (November 28th) revealed this information.

According to the report, the dead included 72 pedestrians (52.10 percent), motorcyclists and 33 riders (27.73 percent) and other vehicles (buses, rakers, paddle rickshaws, paddle vans, auto vans, wheelbarrows, etc.). Its passengers and passengers are 24 (20.16 percent).

Time analysis shows that 23 accidents occurred in the morning, 21 in the morning, 11 in the afternoon, 16 in the afternoon, 4 in the evening and 39 at night.

172 vehicles were involved in these accidents. Of these, 37 trucks, 42 buses, 33 motorcycles, 4 covered vans, 15 pickups, 4 City Corporation garbage trucks, 8 autorickshaws, 2 lorries, 4 Laguna, 2 jeeps, 6 rickshaws, 1 train, 2 wreckers, 7 private cars, 1 wagon and 4 auto vans were involved.
