Staff Reporter: Six people were burnt in a cylinder explosion at a tea shop at Sayedabad Janpath in the capital. The condition of 5 of the burn victims is critical.

The incident took place on Saturday (November 13) afternoon. The injured have been admitted to Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.

The injured are Ripon (35), Kabir (30), Shafiq (40), Bishwanath Dutt (50), Kalam (45) and Robin (25). Their details were not known.

According to them, some people were drinking tea at a tea shop in the Janpad Mor area, some were walking through it, some were standing to buy something. Suddenly the cylinder in the tea shop explodes. 6 people were burnt. They were quickly rescued and admitted to Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
