Sun News Desk: Five dengue patients died and 284 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue fever in and outside the capital of Dhaka in the last 24 hours.

The Directorate General of Health Services issued this in a press release on Tuesday (September 6).
With the latest death, a total of 31 people died of dengue. At the same time, 850 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 711 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 139 are in other divisions.
As many as 7,397 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 6,516 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
