Father, son killed in Munshiganj

Sun News Desk : Two persons were killed and three others were injured when a trolley ran over a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Munshiganj on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Dadan Sarkar, 32, hailed from Char Abdullah area under Munshiganj Sadar Upazila, and his child Honnain Sarkar.

Among the three injured in the accident, the mother of child Honain was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Witnesses said five passengers of the auto-rickshaw were injured in the collision with the trolley in that area. When they were taken to Munshiganj General Hospital, doctors declared the father and son dead.

Kamal Pradhan, doctor of Munshiganj General Hospital, said the two died before being brought to the hospital.

Munshiganj Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Aminul Islam said the autorickshaw and trolley have been taken into custody.
