Sun News Desk : At least 8 dengue patients died and 1,708 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Monday.
A total of 1,341 people died from dengue disease between January 1 and October 30.

With the new cases, the total number of patients rose to 2,69,388 the statement said, adding: “This year, some 2,61,584 patients were released from different hospitals out of the total patients.”
The authorities have recorded the highest number of dengue positive cases outside the capital in August this year, meaning the mosquito-borne disease gripped the entire country.
