Sun News Desk: Two people were killed and 5 others injured when a sand truck crushed on Easybike at Gobindganj of Gaibandhar on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Rubel Mia, Principal of Gobindganj Safeya Khatun Government Primary School and Dulali Begum, wife of Abu Bakar Mandal at Gobindganj Upazila of Shibpur Union.

Locals said that a minitruck carrying sand from Mahimaganj hit an easy bike at Sonarpara intersection. Meanwhile, Dulali Begum died on the spot and 6 other passengers in the easybike were seriously injured. Later, with the help of locals, the injured were admitted to Gobindganj Upazila Health Complex. As the condition of the four persons was critical, they were sent to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where Rubel Mia died while undergoing treatment.

Confirming the accident, Gobindganj Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Izar Uddin told that the police were sent to the spot after receiving information about the accident. The killer truck was seized but the driver escaped.
