Bangladesh will Provide Assistance to Afghanistan

Sun-News Desk: The food and medical facilities of the common people of Afghanistan are very weak. That is why Bangladesh has offered food and medical assistance to the people of Afghanistan. Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen announced the cooperation at the 17th OIC Special Ministerial Meeting in Islamabad, Pakistan on Sunday (December 19th).

This information has been informed in a press release.

During the meeting, the Foreign Secretary said that Bangladesh could be a partner in the development process of Afghanistan as Bangladesh believes in regional cooperation.

Foreign Secretary Masud bin Momen is leading the Bangladesh delegation in that meeting. The delegation also includes the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia, the Ambassador of Pakistan and the Director-General of the International Organization of Foreign Affairs.

The Foreign Secretary expressed concern over the economic and humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. "It could be more pronounced in the winter," he said.
