International Desk: At least 7 people have been killed in separate shootings and arson in the United States. Among them, three people lost their lives after being shot in Detroit, Michigan and four more people were killed in the shooting after setting fire to houses in Texas. One person was injured in the Detroit incident.

A suspect shot four people separately in the US city of Detroit, AFP reported. Three people were killed and another injured. The police have started searching for the suspect.

Midwestern City Police Chief, James White, told the media that two women and one man were among the three victims of the assailant's shooting. They were found shot dead in separate places in the city early Sunday morning.
The fourth person who was wounded in the shooting went to the side of the suspect's car and told him to stop. The suspect then shot him, James White said.

Three of the victims died and one survived, police told local media. A photograph of the suspect has been released to the public. Authorities have urged anyone who recognizes him to contact the police.
According to CNN, the police chief said at the press conference that the suspect was among the four dead. The suspected assailant was killed by a Houston police officer while he was fleeing.

The suspected attacker is believed to be a 40-year-old African-American man.
