Sun News Desk : Four people have been killed and another was injured when a covered van hit an auto-rickshaw in Brahmanbaria on Monday.

Of the deceased, two were identified as Md Sohel Miah, 27, son of Farid Miah and Jilani, 8, son of Nazmul Miah of Boroibari area at Sarail upazila in the district.
Akul Chandra Biswas, Officer-in-charge of Khatihata Highway Police Station, confirmed the matter.

He said a Dhaka-bound covered van hit a standing auto-rickshaw when it was picking up passengers in the area, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured. Later, the injured were taken to 250-bed Brahmanbaria General Hospital where one of them died around 1pm.
