Sun News Desk : Two people have been killed and 6 others injured in a road accident at Alamdanga upazila in Chuadanga on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Sajidur Rahman, 55, son of late Atiar Rahman, and Khairul Islam, 40, son of Shokha Munna, both residents of Shibpur village under Gangni union of the upazila.
Biplob Kumar Nath, Alamdanga Police Station OC, said a group of eight day labours were going to their workplace at Jhorpara village under Gangni upazila of Meherpur district riding on an easybike When the vehicle reached in front of Sonali Bank area of the road, a fish-laden truck from opposite side smashed it, leaving all of the easybike passengers critically injured.

They were taken to Alamdanga Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared Sajidur and Khairul dead and referred others to Kushtia Medical College Hospital and Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
He also said being informed, police seized the both vehicles from the spot, however, the drivers and helper fled from the scene.
