4 killed as bus hits tree

Sun News Desk: At least 4 people were killed and 15 others injured when a bus lost control and hit with a tree in Bhanga of Faridpur on Saturday.

The deceased are- Marina Akhtar, 32, Junaid Sheikh, 3, Humayun Kabir, 48, and Abdur Rauf Howladar, 50.

Taimur Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station, said that a bus of Sakura Paribahan lost control and hit a tree on the side of the road. Two people were killed on the spot. The other two died after being taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.

He also said that the bus was recovered and taken to the police station. This matter is under legal process.
