334 patients hospitalized

Sun News Desk : Some 334 people with dengue fever were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release today.

Currently, a total of 1,238 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 987 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 251 are in other divisions.

As per the release, a total of 5,564 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

A total of 36 people died of dengue during the period while 4,290 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
