Sun News Desk: Two people have died and 14 others were admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Wednesday.
With the new number, the death toll from dengue rose to five this year. Among the new patients, eight were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and six outside it.

A total of 80 dengue patients, including 39 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The country recorded 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
