Staff reporter : Three passengers were killed after a truck smashed autorickshaw in Gazipur on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Jahidul Islam, son of Abbas Ali of Kaliakoir upazila, Mobjel, son of Yakub Munshi; and Shawkat Ali, son of late Hasan Ali. All of them were construction workers and were going to their work.
Shahadat Hossain, Nawjor Highway Police Station's OC, said a Tangail-bound cement-laden truck smashed an autorickshaw at Shilabrishti Filling Station area, leaving three dead on the spot and two others injured.

Police seized the truck but driver managed to flee.
The injured were sent to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital in Tangail.
