PM returns home

Staff reporter : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has returned home today morning after attending the three-day Munich Security Conference in Germany.

A regular flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the PM and her entourage departed Munchen Franz Josef Strauss Airport in Munich at around 9:08 pm on Sunday. The flight landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11am.

Earlier, the Prime Minister left Dhaka to attend the Munich Security Conference on February 15. She went there on the invitation of the chairman of the Munich Security Conference. This is the Prime Minister's first official visit outside the country after winning the 12th National Assembly elections.

During her visit in Germany, the Prime Minister attended the opening ceremony of the Munich Security Conference. She also met with several world leaders.

Among them are German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held a meeting with them.

Besides, the Prime Minister also participated in a civic reception for expatriate Bangladeshis living in Germany during this visit.
