Sun News Desk : At least 12 dengue patients died and 2,475 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Monday.

A total of 8,749 dengue patients, including 2,391 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

So far, the DGHS has recorded 2,42,089 dengue cases and 2,32,759 recoveries this year.

September has so far been the deadliest month for the dengue outbreak this year with 396 fatalities and 79,598 cases, according to DGHS data.
