Sun News Desk : At least 13 dengue patients died and 1,673 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Friday.

Dengue has so far claimed at least 1148 lives this year and nearly 2,35,204 were infected, making this the deadliest year since the first recorded epidemic in 2000.

According to DGHS data, 4,248 dengue patients were undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country yesterday morning.

A total of 2,25,808 patients have so far been released from hospitals across the country this year.
