Youth killed in gunfight

District correspondent : One person was killed and four others were shot in a gunfight between two groups in Cumilla over occupying a human hauler stand on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Md Arnob, 30, was son of Azhar Uddin, a resident of the Shasangacha area.

Firoz Hossain, Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC), confirmed the matter.

Locals said that there had been a dispute between two groups for a long time over the occupation of a human hauler and CNG stand.

Kamran Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police, said that additional police have been deployed in the area after receiving information about the firing. Situation is now under control. One is dead. Details will be informed later.
