International Desk: Micro blogging site X (formerly Twitter) has been shut down two days after the National Assembly elections in Pakistan.

Cyber security and watchdog firm NetBlocks confirmed the information on Saturday (February 10).
In an X message, the company said live metrics are showing nationwide X/Twitter outages. The incident took place two days after the controversial election with mobile and internet services suspended.

Some X users say they are unable to access X through normal internet. They have to use VPN to access X.
One person named Usama Khiljeel wrote, two days after the election, X is entering Pakistan only using VPN. Because online evidence of vote rigging is starting to emerge. Besides, X was shut down after the international community raised questions about the transparency of vote counting.

Another ex named Ammar Rashid wrote, Pakistani authorities have shut down Twitter across the country after shutting down mobile services and broadband internet on election day amid allegations of widespread rigging.
