International Desk: The Israeli military claims to have found a Hamas command tunnel under the UN headquarters in the besieged Palestinian Gaza Strip, Israel says.

According to reports, Israeli forces discovered a network of tunnels hundreds of meters long and partially running under UNRWA's Gaza headquarters. And they called it new evidence of Hamas' exploitation of the UN's main aid agency for Palestinian refugees.
Originally in October last year, an unprecedented attack on Israel was carried out by Hamas, a pro-independence armed group from the Palestinian territory of Gaza. And Israel has brought forward the accusation of the involvement of UNRWA staff in Palestine in the attack by Hamas.

And in the meantime, Israel brought forward allegations that there was a Hamas command tunnel under the UN headquarters in Gaza. Even Israeli military army engineers took reporters from foreign news outlets into the newly discovered tunnel. However, Palestinians have accused Israel of spreading false information to discredit UNRWA. UNRWA is headquartered in Gaza City.

The military said the tunnel is 700 meters long and 18 meters below the surface. There is office space. Although the steel safes there are open and empty. There was also a toilet. Besides, a large chamber was filled with computer servers.
UNRWA said it vacated its headquarters on October 12 last year, five days after the fighting began, and was therefore "unable to confirm or comment" on the Israeli probe.
However, Hamas has denied working on civilian infrastructure.
