Sun News Desk : A woman worker hacked to death by Miscreants in Baraigram upazila of Natore on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Priya Khatun, 22, who is daughter of Shahidul Islam of Moshindha Union.

Police said CID officials visited the spot last night. The reason behind the murder is not yet known.

Abu Siddique, Police Officer-in-Charge (OC), said that after working she took a bus to Coin Bazar and left for home in a battery-powered van. The miscreants from Mashinda area on the road dropped her from the van and hacked her to death with sharp weapons. Locals came to the spot and informed the police on hearing shouts of the van driver. The police reached the spot and interrogated the van driver.

The OC also said that the victim has a one year old daughter. After divorce, Priya lived in her father's house. The reason for the murder is not yet known. police officials reached the spot and collected the samples. Legal steps are ongoing in this regard.
