Sun News Desk : A nine-month pregnant woman died after being affected by dengue virus on Wednesday night.

Ruma Biswas (26), wife of Liton Ghosh of Parulia village under Jungle Union at Baliakandi upazila in Rajbari, breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital (BSMMCH) in Faridpur.
Ruma’s husband Liton said his wife tested positive for dengue at Arugya Clinic in Rajbari on Sunday and was admitted to Rajbari Sadar Hospital. She was taken to BSMMCH in Faridpur on Wednesday after her physical condition deteriorated. She died there while undergoing treatment.

Dr Deepak Majumder, Deputy Director of BSMMCH, said the dengue patient was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition around 7:30pm and died around 7:30pm.
He also said 30 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. Currently, 124 people are undergoing treatment.
