Staff- reporter:Veteran artist Namita Ghosh, a singer of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, has died of coronavirus. She was 65 years old at the time of her death. She died at a hospital in the capital on Friday (March 26th) night. Her sister Kabita Ghosh has confirmed the news.
He said his sister's body was kept in Bardem.
The Guard of Honor will be accorded to the freedom fighter at 11 a.m. on Saturday (March 27) at the Pogoj School premises in the capital. The family has not yet made a decision about her funeral, Kavita said.
Earlier on March 17, Namita Ghosh, an artist of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, was admitted to the hospital after contracting corona virus.
On the same day, Namita Ghosh's sister Kabita Ghosh told the media that on March 15, she contracted the corona virus. She was later admitted to Popular Medical College Hospital. Kabita Ghosh also said that she had earlier been treated at two more hospitals for fever, cough and shortness of breath.
Citing the doctor, her sister said that although she had recovered from cancer, she was suffering from serious complications of the lungs and kidneys after being infected with corona.
Namita Ghosh performed on a program on Bangladesh Television on 12 last March.
