Houses and roads in different states of the country are covered in snow. Road, sea and train communication systems have been disrupted.
More than 1.5 million people lost power and thousands of flights were cancelled on Friday.

The blizzard covered more than 2,000 miles (3,200 km) from Texas to Quebec. A bomb cyclone, when atmospheric pressure plummets, has brought blizzard conditions to the Great Lakes on the US-Canada border.
In Canada, Ontario and Quebec also suffered heavy losses, with hundreds of thousands of facilities without power. Much of the country from British Columbia to Newfoundland is under severe cold and winter storm warnings.

The US National Weather Service (NWS) said the temperature has dropped to minus 45 degrees Celsius in Elk Park, Montana. The city of Hale, Michigan was covered in several inches of snow.
Emily, a salon worker in Hale, told the BBC that 'It's quite cold here. It's like we're spending time in hell.'

Many people are affected by the massive snow storm in the state of South Dakota. Native Americans are trying to fight with the cold by burning clothes there.
Flight tracking website FlightAware said that 5,600 flights were canceled and another 7,600 delayed across the United States on Friday. Where everyone were waiting for hours at stations to go home for Christmas.
