International Desk: Layered concrete barricades across the road, barbed wire fence at 3-4 levels, casting on in the middle of the concrete barricade, studded nails on the street just after each barricade - all these turned farmers' protest sites into fortresses on Monday.

Police cars and buses parked horizontally behind 3-4 level barricades. Police have put up multilayered barricades in Ghazipur, Tikri and Singhu to stop the protesting farmers from entering into the capital.The three borders of Singhu, Tikri and Gazipur with Delhi have thus been turned into security strongholds. It may seem as if this is the international border of two warring countries.

A four-tier security wall has been erected along the Gazipur-Meerut highway to prevent farmers from entering Delhi from Uttar Pradesh. Temporary brick and cement walls have been erected on the Delhi-Haryana border highway.

The media further said that Gazipur border now looks ike a newly established police training center. Hundreds of police and members of the Rapid Action Force are on constant surveillance. Drones are being used for surveillance.

The same scene has been taken at the Tikri border. Security walls have been erected on several levels. Nails and spikes have been spread on the road to hinder farmers going ahead

The Delhi administration does not want to take any more risks after the January 26 incident. The agitating farmers broke the barricade. They entered the Red fort. Farmers' organizations have warned of larger movements across India since Saturday. The three borders have been cordoned off to prevent a recurrence of the January 26 incident.

In these 3 places, the farmers have been protesting against the Centre’s new farm laws for more than two months. When the administration was busy with security, the opposite picture was captured in the agitating peasant camp, they are completely indifferent.

Farmer leaders at the site asserted that the barricades won’t cage their spirit, as they are fighting for rights and urged protesters not get demotivated.
