Two more bodies recovered

Sun News Desk: Two more bodies were recovered from the basement of exploded building at Gulistan. With the two more bodies, the death toll rose to 20.

A team of Fire Service and Civil Defence recovered the bodies from the basement of the seven-storeyed building on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Momin Uddin Sumon, 48, and Robin Hossain, 20. Momin was the owner of Anika Agency, a shop at the building, and Robin was an employee of the shop.

Dinmoni Sharma, deputy director of the Dhaka Division of Fire Service and member of the inquiry committee formed by the Fire Service, stated it to reporters in the afternoon.

Akhtaruzzaman, assistant director of fire service and civil defence, said they had noticed that flies were swarming to one particular area. Then, with the help of search and rescue dogs, they realised that there were bodies in those areas. It took over an hour to recover the bodies.

The explosion took place around 4:50pm on Tuesday near a long-distant BRTC bus service counter at Fulbaria.
