Sun News Desk : Two persons were killed after a truck overturned at Chakaria in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.

The deceased are as driver Ershad Mondol, 38, son of late Ayub Ali of Gabla area under Dupchar union at Shailkupa in Jhenaidah and his helper Md Sibbir Ahmed Maruf, 19, son of Abdur Razzak of Jaflong area at Gowainghat in Sylhet.
Khokon Rudro, Sub Inspector of Chiringa Highway Police Station, said a cement-laden truck overturned after hitting the railing of Uttar Harbang Kolatoli 12 no bridge at Harbang in Chakaria around 5:30am. The truck driver and helper were injured and brought to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared them dead.

Emon Kanti Chowdhury, Officer-in-charge of Chiringa Highway Police Station, said the vehicle was recovered and taken into custody. Legal process is underway in this regard.
