Youth shot dead at Ukhiya

Sun News Desk : A Rohingya youth was shot dead in Cox's Bazar's Ukhiya refugee camp on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was- Abdur Rashid, a volunteer at Balukhali Camp 8.

Syed Harunur Rashid, commanding officer of Armed Police Battalion- 14, told a gang opened fire at Abdur Rashid around 8:00am, leaving him critically injured.

Syed Harunur Rashid said that he was rushed to a hospital inside the camp where doctors declared him dead.

The body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
