Two died as bus hits electric pole

Sun News Desk : Two people were killed and 30 others injured as a bus hit a roadside electric pole in Jhalakathi on Friday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

Pulak Chandra Roy, Rajapur Police Station officer in-charge, said a BRTC bus hit an electric pole in Kanudaskathi area around 9:30 as its driver lost control over steering, leaving two, including the supervisor of the vehicle, dead on the spot and 30 others injured, quoting witnesses, Rajapur Police Station officer in-charge Pulak Chandra Roy told Jago News.

He also said the critically injured driver of the bus was sent to Barishal for better treatment while other injured were being treated at Rajapur Upazila Health Complex, and Bhandaria Upazila Health Complex.
