19 cases recorded in 24 hrs

Sun News Desk: Bangladesh government has reported zero Covid-19 death and at the same time, 19 cases recorded in the last 24 hours.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Tuesday December 20.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,438 and With the new infections, the total number of Coronavirus cases rose to 20,36,967, the release added.

The new cases were found after testing 2,536 samples across the country in the last 24 hours.

During the period, 90 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the illness. And the total number of recoveries now stands at 19,86,947, said the release.

Noted that Bangladesh detected its first coronavirus patient on 8 March in 2020 and recorded its first death of the disease on 18 March that year.
