Thakurgaon Correspondent: 136 mango trees were cut down in Baliadangi of Thakurgaon due to land dispute. A case has been filed in this incident. Ramzan Kazi, the main accused in the case, was arrested and sent to jail on Saturday afternoon.

He was arrested from Nuntore village of Kashipur union of Ranishankail upazila of the district on Friday night. The matter was confirmed by Feroz Kabir, OC of Baliadangi police station.
Earlier on Friday night Ambagan owner Ilit Chandra Singh alias Ratia filed a case against 6 people.

The arrested Ramzan Kazi is the son of Abul Kalam of Nuntor village in Kashipur union of Ranishankoil upazila.
It is known that Ilit Chandra Singh alias Ratia of Dangipara village of Vanor union had a dispute over land with Ramzan Kazi, son of Abul Kalam of Nurtor village of Ranishankail upazila, for a long time. Several attempts have been made to resolve this issue locally, but the issue has not been resolved.
Ratia was not at home last Thursday night. It is alleged in the case that Ramzan Kazi cut 136 mango trees of the mango orchard planted on 61 percent of the land with his men. Ratia complained in the case that Ratia had suffered a loss of 10 lakh rupees.

Before his arrest, Ramzan Kazi claimed that he had bought the land from the owner Michael two years ago. He is the owner of the garden. Now the land has to be occupied, so we have to cut down the trees ourselves and divert the situation to the other side. He obtained judgments in his favor in local arbitrations.
Baliadangi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Firoz Kabir said that a case has been filed against 6 people in the incident of cutting mango trees in the garden. After the case, the police arrested the accused Ramzan Kazi and sent him to jail through the court.
