Tourist visa for Bangladeshis to resume soon:Doraiswamy

International Desk: India will soon resume tourist visas for Bangladeshis, Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Vikram Doraiswamy said on Tuesday (January 26th).

We are hopeful that tourist visa service will start soon,” he said, adding that people will be more confident with the intoduction of Covid -19 vaccination program in Bangladesh and India.He said the Covid-19 situation will be normalized soon.

Doraiswamy spoke to the reporters after the Republic Day celebrations at the High Commission of India Dhaka.

Doraiswamy said they believe that India and Bangladesh must move forward together and that they have worked as closely as possible with their neighbors, particularly with Bangladesh, during the Covid-19 situation.

For this reason, Bangladesh is one of the first countries to receive the vaccine from India, both as a gift and through commercial procurement.
