International Desk: An army helicopter crash landed in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday (January 25th) evening. One pilot was killed and another sustained serious injury is being treated at a military hospital.
The helicopter crashed in Indian-controlled Kashmir's Kathua district . One pilot later died after being taken to the hospital.
According to Indian media, a light-weight chopper 'Dhruv' was flying from Pathankot in Punjab. It crashed at Lakshanpur in Kathua district at that time. There are technical flaws which cause the crash. Locals reported that the router of the chopper router got entangled in the power lines.
India is deeply concerned over the news of the accident ahead of India's Republic Day.
Earlier, an Air Force MiG-21 fighter jet crashed in the Indian state of Rajasthan on Monday. The accident took place in Suratgarh area of the state. Fortunately, the pilot survived the crash.
According to a tweet from the Indian Air Force, a MiG-21 Bison fighter jet crashed during training sortie in the Western Sector. The jet experienced a serious technical malfunction.
However, a detailed investigation has already been launched to probe the exact cause of the accident.
