Sun News Desk : Police recovered the hanging body of a school teacher in Chittagong on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Jaya Majumder, 22. She was a teacher of local government primary school. Her husband's name is Sujit Mazumdar.

Locals recovered the body from Kathgarh area around 10 pm.

Police said she committed suicide due to a family dispute.

Aftab Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patenga Police Station, said that locals recovered the body and took it to Chittagong Mother and Child Hospital on Friday night. Later the body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

The OC also said that it was initially known that she committed suicide due to a quarrel with her husband. Legal action is being taken to investigate the matter.
