Sun News Desk : A father and his son were killed and another person injured when a bus hit motorcycle at Asashuni of Satkhira district on Thursday.

The deceased are identified as Subrata Sarkar Bappi (35) son of deceased Tarak Sarkar of Balbaria village and his son Turja Sarkar (6). In this incident, Subrata Sarkar's wife Shyamoli Sarkar was seriously injured. She is undergoing treatment at Upazila Health Complex.

Locals said Subrata was returning home from Asashuni Sadar on a motorcycle, along with his wife and son. On the way, reaching Kodanda Kerani area, the motorcycle collided with a passenger bus leaving from Asashuni. Subrata and his son were killed on the spot. Subrata's wife Shyamoli Sarkar was seriously injured. Locals immediately rescued her and admitted to Upazila Health Complex. her condition is critical.

Biswajit Kumar Adhikari, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Asashuni police station, said two bodies were recovered from the spot. The passenger bus and the bus driver were arrested. The case is being prepared in this regard.
