Three killed in Cox's Bazar

Sun News Desk : Three people have been killed in Cox's Bazar after collapsing wall and tree on them when the Cyclone Hamoon crossed Bangladesh's coastal districts on Tuesday night.

Of the deceased, two were identified as Abdul Khaleq, 40, resident of ward no 7 of the municipality; and Haradhon Dev, 45, of Moheshkhali upazila.

Another one died in Chakaria upazila after tree fell on him.

Mahfuzul Haque, Moheshkhali upazila health officer, said, "A person named Haradhan was brought to the hospital as a tree fell on him near his house in Moheshkhali union on Tuesday night. But he succumbed to his injuries before arrival."

Mahbub Rahman Chowdhury, Cox's Bazar municipality mayor, said, "Abdul Khaleq died after a wall collapsed on him at night during the storm."
