The Number of Dengue Cases has Decreased

Staff reporter: In the last 24 hours, 13 more new patients have been admitted to government and private hospitals due to dengue fever in the country. With this, the number of dengue patients in the country has increased to 28,229 by December 21 this year. No one died of dengue at that time.

According to the Health Department, out of 13 new dengue patients, four have been admitted to government hospitals in Dhaka and six to private hospitals. The other three have been admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.

On Tuesday (December 21) the Health Department's Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room in charge and Deputy Program Manager (BPM) Dr. This information has been given in a press release signed by Mohammad Zahidul Islam.

In the last 24 hours, out of 13 new patients, 10 have been admitted to Dhaka Hospital and three to hospitals outside Dhaka. At present, the total number of dengue patients being treated in different government and private hospitals across the country, including Dhaka, is 116. Of these, 73 are in government hospitals and 43 are in private hospitals.

A total of 103 people have died of dengue fever from January 1 to December 21 this year, the statement said. During this time, 28,010 people have returned home after recovering from treatment.
