The Chief Justice Has Taken Away The Judicial Power of Kamrunnahar

Staff Reporter: Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain has taken away the judicial power of Judge Begum Kamrunnahar of Dhaka Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal-7. At the same time, a letter has been sent from the Supreme Court to attach him to the law ministry.

Supreme Court spokesman and special officer Mohammad Saifur Rahman said this in a press release on Sunday (November 14) morning. It is said that the decision was taken by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain in consultation with the senior judges of the Supreme Court.

A letter was sent to the law ministry at 9:30 a.m. today from the Bangladesh Supreme Court to temporarily revoke his criminal jurisdiction and remove him from his current workplace and attach him to the law and justice department of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

Incidentally, on November 11, Judge Begum Mosha. Kamrunnahar of Dhaka Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal-7. Following the announcement of the verdict in the rape case of the two students by the court in Kamrunnahar, the court advised the police not to file a case after 72 hours of the rape. At the same time, the judge acquitted five accused, including Safat Ahmed, son of Dildar Ahmed, the owner of Apon Jewelers, as no charges had been proved against them.

Following the verdict, the judge said that the two victims of the case were already accustomed to sexual activities. They went to the hotel voluntarily. Went there and swam. 36 days after the incident, they said, "We have been raped." An unnecessary investigating officer has given a charge sheet against the accused. The court lost 94 working days. Since then I have been advising the police to be vigilant in this regard. Apart from this, if anyone goes to file a case 72 hours after the rape, I suggest not to take it.
