Staff Reporter: It is difficult to say where the speed and nature of the corona , but the government has taken appropriate steps, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader. He also directed the leaders and activists of various allied organizations including the Awami League to launch an awareness campaign among the people.

He made the statement at a function at the Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi on Friday (November 27th) morning to distribute high-quality N95 and surgical masks among doctors working as frontline fighters against the coronavirus, a joint venture of the Subcommittee on Relief and Social Welfare and Health and Population.

Obaidul Quader further said that the government has made all preparations so that the people of Bangladesh can easily get the vaccine as soon as it reaches the international market. He said a concerted effort has been taken by the government and the private sector to make the vaccine available to the people easily and quickly.

He said that despite the global pandemic under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh today has reached the largest foreign currency reserve of all time at 41 billion.
