Bangladesh Railway has decided to sell advance tickets to ensure smooth travel for passengers during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Online advance ticket sales will begin from March 3 to make journeys more convenient for people returning home to enjoy the Eid festival.

The railway authority announced this information in a press release on lastTuesday (February 24) afternoon.

Return tickets for travelers will be available from March 23.

According to the railway's decision, tickets for the two regions will be sold in two separate sessions as usual. Tickets for all intercity trains operating in the western region will go on sale in the morning, while tickets for all trains running in the eastern region will be available in the afternoon.

Additionally, the authority stated that 20 special trains (5 pairs) will be added this Eid to accommodate increased passenger traffic.
