Sun News Desk : At least 20 dengue patients died and 2,689 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Thursday.
With the latest death, a total of 691 people died of dengue to date this year.

Currently, 9,711 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 4,151 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 5,560 are in other divisions.

As many as 1,40,711 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 1,30,309 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
