Sun News Desk : Three people have been killed and 12 others injured as a bus hit a truck standing on the Bangabandhu Expressway in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj on Wednesday.

Among the deceased, one was identified as Hasina Begum, 42.

Hasara Highway Police Station and Sirajdikhan Police Station sources said a bus of 'Labiba Paribahan' hit a truck standing on the Bangabandhu Expressway in Ramer Khola area around 4 am, leaving three dead on the spot and 12 others injured.

Kanchan Kumar Singh, Hasara Police Station officer in-charge, said a goods-laden truck broke down on the road.

He also said the incident took place when the passenger bus hit it.
