Sun News Desk : At least 14 dengue patients died and 1,594 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Friday.

Dengue has so far claimed at least 528 lives this year and nearly 110,224 were infected, making this the deadliest year since the first recorded epidemic in 2000.

Some 7,934 dengue patients were undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country.

A total of 101,762 patients have so far been released from hospitals across the country this year.
