Staff Correspondent: All the teachers of government primary schools will be given 13th salary grade and their their educational qualifications are also relaxed. The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has issued an order in this regard. The order has been published on the ministry's website.

According to the order, before the promulgation of the Government Primary School Teacher Recruitment Rules 2019, the Finance Department has agreed to determine the salary grade of those teachers who are still employed by relaxing their educational qualifications. As a result of this order, all teachers will get salary in 13th grade (Tk 11000- Tk 27590 ).

Earlier, in February last year, it was decided to raise the salary of assistant teachers in government primary schools to 13th grade. At the same time, it was decided to increase the salary of the two types of trained head teachers to 11th grade. Headmasters who had been trained for so long were getting salary in 11th grade and untrained headmasters were getting salary in 12th grade. On the other hand, trained assistant teachers were getting salary in 14th grade and untrained teachers in 15th grade.
