Staff-Reporter: A part of the form fill up fees for the HSC and equivalent examination in 2020,will be reimbursed, said the Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni.
She made the remarks after the results were officially announced at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Saturday (January 30th) morning.
The Education Minister said, "Since HSC and equivalent examination have been cancelled due to health safety concerns, we have spent a part of the fees. we didn't have many expenditures related to exams. We will refund a part of that unspent amount. As soon as the results are released, the boards will inform about this through a notification on their respective websites.
Earlier, PrimeMinister Sheikh Hasina announced the results of HSC and equivalent exams of 2020 through a video conference from Gono Ghaban.
In 2020, 13 lakh 67 thousand 377 students of 11 education boards were supposed to take part in the HSC and equivalent examinations this time. The exam was supposed to start from April 1. But due to the outbreak of Corona, all educational institutions in the country were closed from March 17. Though the SSC exam took place before that, the HSC exam got stuck.
