Staff Correspondent: 'Book Festival-2021' and various contemporary issues related to education will be exchanged online by Dipu Moni with the media representatives. The meeting will be held on Tuesday (December 29) at 12 noon through the online platform Zoom. Education Ministry Information and Public Relations Officer MA Khair confirmed the information on Saturday (December 26) night.

It is learned that a total of 34 crore new books have been printed this year. This book has now become a big challenge for the students. However, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the distribution of New Year books through virtual on December 31, Education Ministry sources said.

Professor Belal Hossain, director (secondary) of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi), said, "I have not received any instructions from the Ministry of Education on how the books will be delivered."

Professor Ziaul Haque, book distribution controller of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), said, “NCTB is responsible for delivering books to the Upazila-Thana Education Office. The rest is the responsibility of Mausi and the Department of Primary Education. 21 crore books including 13 crore for secondary and 8 crore for primary have reached the Upazila Education Office. He said efforts were being made to send the rest of the books.
