University Correspondent: The university authorities have decided to open the residential halls of Dhaka University from March 13. This initiative, however, has been taken for the examinees of undergraduate and postgraduate programs only.
The decision was taken at the emergency academic council meeting of the university on Sunday afternoon.
Several members present at the meeting confirmed the information.
The council meeting announced the date of the examination within two weeks of its opening and all the deans were asked to prepare a list of the examinees by February 7. The meeting also took decision to reopen the dormitories for the examinees only. The students will have to leave the halls once their exams are over.
After the opening of the halls, the overall condition will be monitored and the academic council will take decision on reopening halls for students of other batches gradually.
